I’m a psychotherapist and I see mosaic as a metaphor for the therapeutic process. It’s taking the broken, the disheveled, and the discarded, and, in careful collaboration, piecing it back together. In mosaic, that collaboration is with objects. In the end, Humpty-Dumpty may not look exactly the same, but with patience, care and a creative eye he can be put back together again – with renewed beauty, strength, and inspiration.

to wash dishes
is by smashing them
